Episode 26 - Mixtape for the End of the World with Andrew J Brandt
This week we were joined by author Andrew J Brandt to discuss his “Mixtape for the End of The World” mix (and book!). Set in 1999 right before Y2K, the book features some young Texas teens dealing with life and quite possibly the end of the world. In the end, one of the characters gifts another a mix tape — this is the mix they made.
Featuring mostly songs from the year 1999 (and a couple from earlier in the decade), this is one of our all time favorite mixes to listen to. There are some greats here — and plenty of music that is still listened to today.
